Tinklers is a family owned and operated vineyard, winery and cellar door in Pokolbin that has been producing boutique wines for the past 40 years. Tinklers proud themselves on producing 100% estate grown and made wines that keep the traditional aspects of winemaking alive. With Ian Tinkler, Hunter Valley Living Legend (2017) and Brother Usher William at the helm, Tinklers have knowlegde and experience of the wine industry past over three generations. Tinklers produce award winning, single vineyard wine in small batches. Our hardwood cellar door, nestled beneath century old peppercorn trees resonate with a long family history in Pokolbin. Visiting the Tinkler cellar door you are guarnteed to be hosted by a member of the family who is willing to share their love and knowledge of the wine industry.

A boutique Cellar Door and wine producer, founded in 1996 by well-known vignerons Jan and Jorg Gartelmann. Gartelmann Wines is located in the Lovedale region of the idyllic Hunter Valley, NSW and is now owned and run by local renowned Chef/Restauranteur Matt Dillow and his team. Specialising in fine, hand-crafted wines using grapes sourced from premium growing regions including Orange, Rylstone, Clare Valley, Renmark, Rutherglen and of course, our home in the Hunter Valley.
With the help of like-minded, dedicated winemakers and growers, the business has grown into the place ‘not to be missed’ in the Lovedale area. The wines speak for themselves and the business has now earned a reputation for producing elegant, quality wines at a reasonable price.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of the Hunter Valley Wine Country, a small but distinct valley has been quietly producing some of the best fruit the Hunter Valley has to offer. With a discrete microclimate and seasonal changes different from the rest of the Valley, the alchemy of a little area known as Mount View has been blending its unique "terrior" of free draining clays over limestone substrate.
Tallavera Grove represents the culmination of decades of experience and research by Geologist Dr John Davis. It is one of four premium vineyards owned by the Davis family of Mount View, known as the Davis Premium Vineyards. The vineyard has been providing fruit for trophy winning wines for some of the Hunter's most successful wineries for 20 years.

Hunter Wine Lab has been established to showcase the traditional fruits and wine making of the old world, along with the ingenuity and developments of the new world. Our philosophy is to produce wines that are expressive of the true characters of the fruit and the terroir, with minimal intervention, whilst being enhanced by new world research and development.
The old world varietals of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon will form a major part of our product range to support our love of the old world, whilst new world varietals, in particular those of Italian derivation, Prosecco (in Rosé style), Vermentino, Verdicchio, Aglianico, Sangiovese, will bring a fun, fresh look supporting innovation.
Our Cellar Door is open 7 days and offers tastings of a range of small batch, single vineyard wines, beer on tap.

The cafe is situated on the deck over the dam in young forest bushland. It is an experience to remember with experienced chefs and cooking some breakfast favourites and by lunch a Tapas inspired menu with a Hunter Valley twist, an experience not to be missed.
